Privacy
What this educational site remembers.
Optional learning progress
If you enable progress tracking or mark a lesson complete, the site creates a random anonymous identifier in a cookie and stores completed lesson numbers on its server. The cookie lasts up to one year. It remembers this browser; it does not create an account or synchronize across devices. Clearing the cookie disconnects this browser from that progress.
Quizzes and simulations
Quiz answers, scores, search queries, and simulation choices stay in the current page session and are not saved by the site. Reloading the page resets them.
External links and hosting
Following a reference takes you to a separate website with its own privacy practices. Hosting services may process technical request information needed to serve and secure the site. CryoAtlas does not add advertising or analytics trackers.
